Lillian P.

Lillian was diagnosed in March of 1982 with breast cancer 33 years ago, she had just applied for a job at the library. It was also three days before her daughter’s wedding and a week before her other daughter was having her engagement party. It was a major blow, but she wasn’t too surprised because her mother had cancer too. “Well, I am a survivor. They told me I had a good five years to live and I thought ‘It’s not going to be, it is not going to be five years. It is going to be more than that’ and it has been.”
